Walk a Mile is a photographic series that invites the viewer to look down — and inward. Each image shows the subject’s own feet from their personal point of view. Though the framing is identical, no two lives are the same. Different shoes, surfaces, and surroundings quietly reveal different stories.
Inspired by the saying “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes,” this collection is an exploration of empathy in a time when it is increasingly absent. In an era shaped by online communication and fast judgments, it is easy to forget that every opinion, every comment, every reaction is attached to a real human being with a lived experience.
By placing the viewer literally in another person’s position, Walk a Mile asks us to pause. To imagine the weight, the journey, and the unseen context behind each step. The work reminds us that before we speak, judge, or dismiss, we might first try to understand.
Walk A Mile will be released on drop.art on the 25th of January 2026. To see the collection click the button below.
