For this edition I asked artists to show me their work on a X post, I’m glad I did! I found (imo) some great pieces. I went for more photography than I thought I would this time around and that suits me fine. I think there is a ton of original photography on tezos that needs to be collected. enough from me, if you like the work below, please do give them a follow and even add some new pieces to your own collection!

“Flaming Palms” by Betty Najafi

Betty is an expressionist painter based in Iran. Their digitized portraits and abstract pieces are full of emotion and yet offer a strange sense of clam. Often using Acrylics on canvas, their charcoal on paper works are not to be missed either.

“DISTANCE” by libertyvisions (Raha)

Taken on Maharloo salt lake, Fars, Iran. Raha is a mixed media artist exploring photography, AI, animation and surrealism who started on objkt in November 2023. I loved the minimal effect in this frame, curiosity of what the figures are doing in the center pulls you into the scene.

“CITYLIFE” by Celil Bezeng

Celil has racked up 25 years of experience in photography. Citylife was taken in Erzurum, Turkiye in 2016. Celil captures often monochromatic glimpses into life on the city streets with a incredible eye for timing, catching figures just as their shadow passes a wall, or as they move into just the right spot to add that extra interest in each shot.

“In silence I thrive, in shadows I shine, in emptiness I exist” by Plektani Art

At first or even second glace you may think these are oil paintings or digital glitches, but this is what they call ICM (intentional camera movement). Plektani (or Christina S) uses the subject in their camera to “paint” an image by using long exposure and moving the camera while taking the photo.
