It’s been over a week since my last Recent Acquisitions post, time fly’s. I have been busy working on a new generative collection which has now released on drop.art, click here if you are interested in how it came out. The blind mint function is really fun, the surprise of what piece you end up with is great, kinda makes you want to try more… maybe not so safe for wallets.
Here are 5 pieces I collected over the last week, hope you enjoy.

The Solar Monitor account mints daily (weather permitting) updates on our Sun, you know, that big thing in the sky that you can’t look at. Using special filters and a telescope to capture images and track sun spots, this particular shot was “sun spot-less” which is not very common. You can mint your own for only 0.2 xtz which is a steal!
‘WARNING’ never attempt to look at the sun or image it without the correct type of filter, it can cause eye damage and ruin your equipment.

This new series of Gaussian splats from Sabato really jumped out to me. Using CC0 drone footage captured as a 3D model in Blender then finished off in Photoshop, what seems to be maybe brushes or effects dives a lot deeper once you understand where the images come from. I absolutely love this series and was over the moon to have secured one in my wallet. These 1/1’s sell out fast, which is not surprising.

Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil Revolue has been featured in many international exhibitions with gallery support in Vienna, New York and Asia. The “you are not special” collection is a blind mint on drop.art with 29 pieces (still minting as I type this) featuring Revolue’s iconic style in each artwork. Street art meets the digital revolution in the most epic way.

This massive 6480×6480 canvas piece was shared to me by Absurdeity (thanks!) and I’m glad I got a edition before it sold out! Santos works with AI and “Machines” to create these beautiful glitched out landscapes, combining tech with nature which really speaks to me and my own practice. Curated in standout exhibitions by respected curators Kika Nicolela, Aleksandra Art, UnknownCollector & Danielle King, Helio is one artist to keep an eye on.

Part of a group exhibition ‘Algorithm Victims Ruin Art History’ where artists reinterpret iconic masterpieces through their own visual language ex_mortal_ gives us their version of Claude Monet’s “Path Through the Wheat Fields at Pourville” (1882) in an epic glitchy way that only ex_mortal_ can do. I had thought I missed my chance to get a copy of this reincarnated masterpiece, but objkt notifications worked a treat and I managed to catch a later listing… whew!
