Thank you for taking part as a curator for the ACTZ project. here you will find the information you need, and a few in-sites to how it all works.
Overview:
Every month ACTZ commission 40 artists to create an original 1/1 artwork and mint this as an NFT on the Tezos blockchain. Open calls take place each month where artists can submit their work. As a guest curator you will have 6 artists to select and commission works from. Each month has a theme that the artist includes in their piece. Thanks to the Tezos Foundation, ACTZ is funded each month to place the first bid on each piece that the ACTZ team curates.
Process:
Open calls take place each month, a week or two before the month that the open call is for. As a curator you will be tagged in the open call on X (sorry for the notifications). The deadline to apply for each month is the 1st of the month (unless stated otherwise). Artists are directed to this page for information and to apply.

This will be used to send funds for auctions, but also to add you as a curator in the objkt.com gallery.
Once the open call has closed, it’s time to select your artists!
To keep good records, ACTZ uses a google doc to store info. This doc is where you will paste your selected artists information under your name. Click the button below, you will need to request access.
Look for the tab of the month you are curating (IE June 2025), there you will find your name and space to enter some information. Follow the link below to find the list of applicants. Use the links for their artwork to browse their portfolios and chose the artists that speak to you. Click the button below, you will need to request access (again).
Once you have chosen the artists you would like to commission, copy their information from the application doc and paste it under your name on the main google doc. Guest curators get first picks. See below image.
What now?
Once all curators have made their selections there will be a public post made by the ACTZ account with a list of the selected artists for the month.
Once this post has been made, you can now get in touch with your selected artists and let them know you have selected them (A group chat is a nice way to keep them all together and answer questions in one place). If you like, add @328_lad to the chat, he can answer any questions that the artists might have if required. If some reason you cannot contact the artist (they might not be following you etc) let the ACTZ team know and we will help.
Let the artists know they can start working on their artwork.
Once ready, the artist can now mint their piece into the ACTZ gallery on objkt. Invites to the ACTZ gallery will be sent to all of the artists using the wallet address they entered into the application. If an artist prefers to mint on Teia or other tezos platforms we can create another type of invite. Let the ACTZ team know if this is the case.
Once the piece has been minted:
The artist can now start an auction with a 50 xtz reserve.
duration and increments of bids can be decided by the artist. You can now place the first bid to kick start their auction. Let the ACTZ team know once you have placed the first bid on each piece and we will promote the auction. If you win the auction you may keep the artwork. If you lose the auction (you are outbid) then you may keep the 50 xtz.
