ACTZ

An open call to emerging artists on Tezos

Every month ACTZ commission 40 artists to create an original 1/1 artwork and mint this as an NFT on the Tezos blockchain. Open calls take place each month where artists can submit their work.

The selected artists will be asked to mint their creations and list via auction with a 50xtz reserve. ACTZ curators will place the opening bid and promote the auction on social media.

Each month special guest curators will be invited to take part. Curators are funded to place the auction bids and if they are successful the artwork is added to their collection.

Theme:
The theme for October is Shape/Form. Shape builds on line and color, as it has to be made of one or both of these. Shape is the property of a two-dimensional form, usually defined by a line around it or by a change in color. There are two main types of shapes, geometric and organic. While most works of art contain both geometric and organic shapes, looking at those that are more completely divided can serve to clarify these qualities. Form is actual, three-dimensional shape, though it is often used to describe the illusion of three-dimensionality, as well. Like shape, form can be geometric or organic.
This theme must be included in the final artwork.

Artwork:
Commissioned art MUST be new work, that has not been minted or sold before. Final artwork should be minted as a 1/1 (single edition) NFT on the tezos blockchain.

Deadlines:
As some mediums can take longer to produce than others deadlines are flexible, however, we would prefer the artwork to be completed within 1 month of being commissioned.

Gallery:
The selected artists will be featured in the ACTZ Gallery on objkt.com. Minting instructions will be provided.
